Image-Line has announced FL Studio 2025, giving users early access to a wide range of workflow improvements, new plugins, updates, and some experimental features. Up To 500 Mixer Channels
One of the most significant upgrades in FL Studio 25 is the dynamic mixer system, which increases the maximum insert count from 125 to 500. You can now add or delete mixer tracks freely, scaling the session layout to match the needs of your project without hitting architectural limits.
This added capacity removes a long-standing constraint for users working on orchestral compositions, multitrack vocal arrangements, or commercial stem mixing. FL Studio also now clears out unused mixer tracks to reduce CPU load and keep your workspace responsive.
You can insert one track at a time, add multiple tracks at once, or load preset mixer configurations directly.
Audio Clip Editing
In this version, FL Studio gives you more detailed control over individual audio clips. You can now stretch, pitch-shift, and reverse audio clips directly in the Playlist without using Edison or third-party tools. These actions apply per-instance, giving you much more flexibility during editing and arrangement.
Additional improvements:
- Per-clip fade-in/fade-out declicking can now be disabled
- Effect automation names have been cleaned up for better visibility on instrument tracks
- The Slice Tool defaults to vertical slicing, with diagonal slicing now requiring a right-click hold

Browser and Interface Changes
The file browser now offers live previews of samples and content when viewed in Columns mode. The Library tab has also been renamed to Presets, providing a more accurate description of its contents.
FL Studio Remote is now compatible with Remote Version 2. The News panel has also been updated with a subtle animation that alerts you to new updates or content, and it includes a right-click refresh option for manual control.

Gopher: New AI Assistant For FL Studio
FL Studio 2025 introduces Gopher, a built-in language model designed to help you navigate the software and answer music production questions in natural language. Trained on FL Studio’s manual and knowledge base, Gopher can explain plugin functions, routing, automation, and more.
You can access Gopher from the Help menu or add it as a button in your toolbar. This feature marks the beginning of AI-assisted music production directly inside the DAW.
Mastering Window
The Mastering Window now supports real-time previews. As you adjust compression, EQ, or limiter settings, FL Studio updates the audio output immediately. This allows you to dial in mastering settings without the delay of exporting test files.
This feature is especially helpful when quickly finalizing tracks or mastering stems for multiple release versions.
FL Studio Mobile Rack
With this update, the FL Studio Mobile Rack becomes a full plugin that can be loaded either as a standalone effect or an instrument inside your desktop project. It allows you to access your mobile plugins and combine them in new ways, improving integration between mobile and desktop production workflows.
New Plugins: Emphasis and VFX Script
This release includes two brand new plugin additions:
- Emphasis is a mastering compressor/limiter focused on delivering transparent loudness with minimal user input.
- VFX Script is a MIDI manipulation tool that brings advanced note and expression control into Patcher-based setups.
Both tools reflect Image-Line’s growing investment in mastering, performance automation, and generative control.
Plugins Improvements
Several core plugins have received long-awaited updates:
- Sakura and Drumaxx now feature vector-based UIs for improved scaling and clarity
- FLEX introduces animated feedback when selecting random presets
- FPC now outlines the selected pad for better visibility
- Transporter adds tempo-based loop triggering and sidechain-based transient detection
- Fruity Granulizer and Fruity Slicer are now recognized as full plugins, usable inside Patcher
