Question 1

Is AutoTune Go free in FL Studio?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Image-Line released AutoTune Go through FL Cloud Free, making it available to FL Studio users at no additional cost. It is not a temporary trial or the full AutoTune Pro product.

Question 2

Who makes AutoTune Go?

Accepted Answer

AutoTune Go was created specifically for FL Cloud and developed with Antares, the company behind the original AutoTune technology.

Question 3

How do I install AutoTune Go in FL Studio?

Accepted Answer

Open FL Studio and go to Tools > Manage Cloud Plugins. Search for AutoTune Go in the available plugin list and click Install. FL Studio handles the installation through the FL Cloud Plugin Manager.

Question 4

Does AutoTune Go require FL Cloud Pro?

Accepted Answer

No. Image-Line states that AutoTune Go is included with FL Cloud Free, so an FL Cloud Plus or Pro subscription is not required to access the plugin.

Question 5

What scales does AutoTune Go support?

Accepted Answer

AutoTune Go includes Major, Minor and Chromatic scale options. Select the key and scale that match your song before adjusting the amount of pitch correction.

Accepted Answer

Yes. The plugin can detect the vocal range automatically, although you can also select the range manually if you want more control or the automatic detection does not suit the recording.

Question 7

How many Retune Speed settings does AutoTune Go have?

Accepted Answer

AutoTune Go provides four Retune Speed options. They range from more subtle, natural correction to faster and tighter tuning where the pitch-correction effect becomes more obvious.

Question 8

Is AutoTune Go the same as AutoTune Pro?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoTune Go is a streamlined pitch-correction plugin designed for FL Cloud, while AutoTune Pro is a larger commercial Antares product with a broader feature set. AutoTune Go focuses on the essential controls needed for fast vocal tuning.

Question 9

What is the difference between AutoTune Go and Pitcher?

Accepted Answer

Both provide real-time pitch correction, but Pitcher is Image-Line's own processor and also supports MIDI-controlled pitch manipulation and harmonization. AutoTune Go uses Antares technology and focuses on a simpler key, scale, vocal-range and Retune Speed workflow.

Question 10

Should I use AutoTune Go or NewTone?

Accepted Answer

Use AutoTune Go when you want fast real-time pitch correction while the vocal plays. Use NewTone when you need detailed note-by-note pitch and timing editing. They solve different parts of the vocal-tuning workflow and can also be used together when necessary.
